Heck Statement On Unemployment

Today, Dr. Joe Heck, Republican candidate for Nevada's 3rd Congressional District released the following statement upon the announcement of Nevada's statewide unemployment number increase. Nevada's unemployment, likely to remain the highest in the nation, rose to a stunning 14.4 percent for the month of August. 

"The rise in our state's unemployment is further evidence that the Titus/Pelosi/Obama Recovery Summer was nothing more than Washington DC summer rhetoric," said Dr. Joe Heck, Candidate for Congress. "We need to put the power back into the hands of small business owners and remove it from the hands of reckless Washington, D.C. politicians like Dina Titus and Nancy Pelosi."

"Our economy lacks any sort of defined path for recovery in large part because of a partisan, re-election focused Congress.
