Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is the time of year when people of every race, creed, and walk of life join in celebrating the many blessings that we have received as individuals and as a Nation.
 
The first Thanksgiving celebrated the friendships and generosity that transcended cultural divides and created a true sense of community. Today, as you gather to celebrate with family and friends, take a moment to reflect upon that giving spirit that is the hallmark of this special holiday.
 
Take a moment to embrace that original Thanksgiving spirit, giving thanks for the many gifts in your life and know that America, the land upon which this tradition was created, remains a land of hope and strength even during these trying times. Understand that we have a long road ahead of us, but in unity, we can make this country great again: our greatest achievements are those we have accomplished together.
 
I am personally thankful for my family, my friends, my supporters and the incredible opportunity given to me by the constituents of southern Nevada.  Thank you for your faith and trust and, in turn, I have faith that our community will work together as we begin a new journey of rebuilding southern Nevada.
