In over 50 years of living in Nevada, and 25 years of running a business with more than 300 employees, my husband and I learned that political leadership is essential for our state’s success. Fortunately, Nevada has a long history of strong leaders on both sides of the aisle.

I hope that will continue. When I look at Nevada’s U.S. Senate race, I ask myself: Which candidate—Joe Heck or Catherine Cortez-Masto—is the leader we need?

I believe the answer is Joe Heck.

Rep. Heck’s career is a case study in leadership. Over the years, he’s been a leader in business, in medicine, in the U.S. Army Reserve, and in Congress. Time and again, he’s proven that he can be trusted with putting Nevada’s interests ahead of his own—a leader’s most important trait.

By comparison, Catherine Cortez-Masto doesn’t have nearly as strong a track record of leadership and service. We can’t take that risk, especially given the serious issues facing our country.

That’s why I’m voting for Joe Heck on Nov. 8. I urge my fellow Nevadans to do the same. We need a leader looking out for us, and the Senate shouldn’t be a training ground for leadership.
