Now her career as a “loyal Democratic foot soldier” may actually endanger the safety and security of Nevada’s families. Cortez Masto, who famously could not cite a single element of the Iran nuclear deal with which she has concerns, has been completely silent as the agreement with the world’s largest state sponsor of terror falls apart before our eyes.

The latest hit comes from a new Wall Street Journal report that indicates that the Obama administration orchestrated what appears to be a $400 million ransom payment to Iran after the release of four Americans who were detained by the Iranian government:

“The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.” (Jay Solomon and Carol E. Heck spokesperson Brian Baluta made the following statement on behalf of Dr. Joe Heck who is on military duty this week, “Does Catherine Cortez Masto think Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor terror, will use that money to make the world a safer place for Nevadans? Does she think we should send the message to terrorists that we will bend to their demands? The Obama Administration has already said they ‘don’t have a way‘ of knowing if Iran will use the billions unfrozen by the nuclear deal to fund terror, yet Ms. Cortez Masto continues to demonstrate that her national security positions are informed by campaign contributors, personal ambition, and political calculations with little regard to facts. After 30 years of partisan politics over people from Harry Reid, Nevadans cannot afford more of the same.”
